A living portal to the 2023 Montréal gatherings: recorded conversation, hands-on practice, community questions, practitioner approaches, and the traces that remain.

The connective tissue that emerges from trans and gender-nonconforming bodies binds us back together after chosen rupture. Our scars heal and hold us—and also call out to be cared for.
This showcase brought local trans, genderqueer, and queer bodyworkers together around a shared reality: Montréal is a national and international hub for gender-affirming surgery, while ongoing post-surgical education and care are often left thin by a medical system designed for efficiency.
The gatherings made room for something wider. Scars could be living tissue and lived history; care could include swelling, numbness, mobility, circulation, nerve sensation, grief, pleasure, celebration, agency, and reconnection with a body in (r)evolution.
